Olavi Suomalainen, winner of the 1972 Boston Marathon, will inaugurate the unveiling of our newly redesigned Airstream. This vintage Airstream has been transformed into a mobile exhibition showcasing the evolution of running footwear.

Visitors can follow the significant moments in Karhu shoe technology and design as we make our way from the track to the street and on into today’s most prestigious races. They will also learn about the long-standing Finnish/American running rivalry, which American’s ran in Karhu shoes, and how the brand’s heritage continues to influence its future.
Throughout 2012, the Karhu Originals Tour will retrace the route taken by Finland’s legendary runners of the 20th century, stopping at races and dealers along the way.
